Warranty Keeper is designed to work primarily on-device. In the MVP version, your items (receipts, serial numbers, dates, notes) are stored locally on your iPhone/iPad.
In short: We do not run our own backend server for storing your warranty items.
If you later enable new online features, this policy should be updated.
When you import a receipt, the app may use on-device text recognition (OCR) to help pre-fill fields. OCR results are used only to populate the form. Your receipt image and extracted text remain on your device.
If you purchase a subscription or restore purchases, Apple may provide us with purchase/entitlement information via StoreKit to unlock Pro features. We do not receive your full payment details.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not share your warranty items with third parties. The app may interact with Apple services required for purchases and system functions.
Your data stays on your device until you delete items in the app or uninstall the app. If you export data (Pro feature), the exported file is saved to a temporary location for sharing and then handled by the destination app you choose.
